Post 02: User Flow & UI Wireframing

When creating the beginnings of the key pages and the navigation between them, I attempted to keep everything as simple and straightforward as possible for the comfort of the user. I did this by considering the environment the user would be in while using the app which would have many distractions as well as being fast paced when moving between different events or facilities. This encouraged me early on to prioritise buttons when navigating the app as sliders or scrolling mechanics might be too fiddly for the fast paced environment. However, I did want a few scrolling mechanics incorporated in the larger sections that would be easier to see such as in the social page and settings just to include more within the page and give it more interactable aspects which would make it possible for me to include as much as I could within each page. When I was creating the low fidelity wireframe, I had to include another page to have the needed amount and therefore decided to include a settings page which I originally was going to include as a drop down menu but when I was looking through which aspects I had already planned out, the settings had the most potential to fill out a whole page. To begin with my low fidelity wireframes, I first planned out how to display my landing page as I wanted all the other pages to mimic it so nothing looked out of place when navigating between the pages. I mainly copied a mixture of my own sketches and a reference I placed next to the frame to build out the landing page which was a strategy I used for the other pages too to once again make sure the flow between each page was as smooth as it could possibly be.
