Post 03: High-Fidelity Mobile Prototype

When I started transitioning my low fidelity pages into high fidelity prototypes, I struggled on how to incorporate colour into my pages at first as all the colours from the palettes I made all looked flat and didn’t resemble the existing apps I used as inspiration at all. This led to my decision in using a concert photo as the main backing of my page which gave it some depth instead of the flat look my other attempts had and also as a result I decided to lean more into a different aesthetic to what I originally planned. I also decided to add a white box that contained the set list and ticket to create a clear contrast that makes everything more visible which was something I wanted to achieve since I started planning. For the ‘Amplify’ logo, I found a typeface I thought would fit in with the aspects I had already set out on the page before finding a typeface with bolder and larger letters. My reasonings for this was that I had the idea to use the bolder and larger text as the first ‘A’ before continuing in the smaller typeface to create a more unique look rather than having one typeface throughout. I then got another concert photo and used it in a clipping mask over what I had so far to make a complete logo that I put at the top centre of every page other than the map which I purposefully made the nearly the entire screen to make it more visible. Once all my aspects on the landing page were to my liking, I mimicked it on all the others so switching between them all was smooth and consistent other than the main functions such as the social page’s messaging board and the sponsor page’s list of sponsors.
