When creating my early sketches, I had already been looking at inspiration which caused most pages to be quite similar to what I ended up refining into a high-fidelity prototypes. Due to most layouts I had seen and taken interest in being imagery heavy, my designs had been quite similar with heavy amounts of images and minimal writing as I wanted a more simplistic design. The only thing I felt I did differently to most of the apps and websites I used as references was that I wanted my navigational menu to be visible to make the experience as easy as possible for any user to navigate which is something I didn’t see often in other examples. Due to this, I made sure to sketch it out as often as possible to emphasise its importance. This emphasis helped me to remember and make sure I included a visible navigational menu when it came to creating a low fidelity wireframe based off my crazy 8 sketches and I also emphasised many images in my sketching as I wanted the app to portray the importance of art within the designing process as I also saw, when researching, that some websites prioritised shoving unimportant information into the landing page instead of sorting it into the dedicated pages which created confusion due to the overcrowded page. When creating my other pages as a low-fidelity wireframe, I found myself taking the base of my landing page and adding the necessary aspects of the other pages to create a smooth flow between each page when I eventually get to refining and animating. I also went back when I completed the low-fidelity wireframe to adjust my navigational menu and other aspects into even spaces on the page to make it easier for myself when eventually refining as I wouldn’t have to spend time on measurements and instead could focus on more aesthetic decisions such as colour and typography.
